Today we finally had flat enough seas to head over to the Halkett Bioherme, which consists of beautiful sponge gardens and sponge on bioherme. There is still much debate about putting a mooring buoy on this beautiful dive site. Pros: less anchor damage Cons: more divers (and possible more damage) ... what to do.
Check out the album here and weigh in on the debate in the comments! Happy Diving!

Last weekend I headed out to one of my favorite sites off of Lions Bay in Howe Sound. The group included 3 divers with underwater scooters and 3 divers with cameras. I am a bit undecided if having a scooter is worth it... the best part of diving on the West Coast is finding all of the amazing macro life and there is no way that you will see any of that on a scooter. BUT the guys did look like they were having fun!

Great dives on Bowen Island this weekend - COLD! 38F on the surface and a balmy 42F at depth. Yikes! Click HERE for photos |
